Welcome!!
Thank you for helping us create and celebrate Ben Franklin's World's 300th Episode!!!
Episode 300 will post on April 13, 2021, which also happens to be Liz's 40th birthday. In honor of both occasions, we're asking you and 39 other historians: “What is one aspect of early American history you wish people better understood? And why?”
Before you answer: Please make sure your microphone is connected to your computer and that your computer is reading your microphone as your default output. This can be achieved in System Preferences–>Sound on Macs and through your Control Panel on a PC.
Recording Tips: Please be sure to speak directly into your microphone. If using corded earbuds, please be sure to hold the cord just below the voice recorder and hold that voice recorder out from your body and about one thumb's distance away from your mouth for a clean recording.
Ready to answer: Once your microphone is hooked up and you're ready to go, click the “Start Recording” button below. You will have the opportunity to stop and re-record your answer, if you think it's necessary.
Don't Forget to record your name. We've placed 90 seconds on the recorder so you can tell us who you are.
